Inside Iuliia Bazhan’s Fashion Journey: Red Carpets, Runways, and Dreams

Success in the modeling industry isn’t just about how you look — it’s about how you make people feel. It’s about presence, passion, and perseverance.
For Iuliia Bazhan, the journey from local shoots to international runways has been marked by determination, creativity, and a commitment to constant growth. In this exclusive piece, she shares how she became one of the most in-demand models of her generation — and why the future holds even bigger dreams.

How I Became a Model in Demand — And Why I’m Still Excited About My Next Step
By Iuliia Bazhan.

You don’t become a model by being beautiful. You become one by being beautiful and unforgettable.

By the time I arrived in London, I wasn’t just starting. I had already built a strong portfolio, worked with photographers across Europe, and been published in The New York Times, Gezno, Artells, Lazin, Malvie, and many others. In London, it was hard at first — but I quickly became a model in high demand.

One of the moments that made this clear was when I received an invitation to attend The British Fashion Awards 2024 in London as an honorary guest. At the event, I shared the red carpet with fashion icons like Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Simone Ashley, Nicola Coughlan, and Jodie Turner-Smith.

It was a recognition of everything I had already built. One of the reasons I was selected? My success at Miss Moscow 2023, where I was awarded three titles — Miss Grazia, Miss Inspiration, and Miss Splendor — at one of Russia’s most competitive beauty contests. Thousands applied. Only 30 made it to the stage. That same year, I was also honored with the title of Supermodel of Russia — a distinction that reflected not only my look, but also my work ethic, professionalism, and the unique energy I bring to every shoot and show.

But that was just a piece of the puzzle.
London saw the bigger picture.

Next year, my calendar is as global as my ambition. I’m already confirmed to walk at Fashion Weeks in Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Turkey, the Maldives, and the UAE. These aren’t goals I’m working toward — they’re commitments already made.

So if you’re an aspiring model — take this from me:

  1. Rejection is redirection.

If you’re not chosen, it doesn’t mean you’re not right. It means you’re not right here. Move.

  1. Train like you’re already booked.

Because when that call comes, you won’t have time to “get ready.” You’ll need to be ready.

  1. Presentation is power.

Your photos. Your walk. Your attitude. They all say something — even when you say nothing. Make sure they say what you mean.

  1. This is a people business.

Stylists. Designers. Agents. Photographers. Treat everyone with respect — and they’ll remember you when it matters.

  1. Think in years, not weeks.

Fame can be fast. But longevity? That’s earned slowly, with intention and care.

When the Mojito editors asked me, “Iuliia, what’s next?” I smiled. I’m genuinely excited — about my upcoming contracts, about the cities I’ll travel to, and especially about the people I’ll meet along the way. Each season brings new energy. New designers. New teams. New opportunities to create something unforgettable together.

There’s nothing more inspiring than being surrounded by visionaries — the stylists, photographers, and creative directors who push fashion forward. I feel lucky to stand beside them — and even luckier to bring my own voice to the conversation.

The future? It’s not just bright. It’s electric.
