Kamile Spann – Refined Elegance

Kamile Spann

In the fast-paced world of fashion, true impact goes beyond aesthetics—it’s about transformation, authenticity, and purpose. Kamile Spann is a model, philanthropist, and mental health advocate whose journey in the industry is as inspiring as it is profound. From stepping in front of the camera for the first time to using her platform to support sustainability, children’s charities, and mental health awareness, she has proven that fashion can be a force for change.

In this interview, Kamile opens up about her beginnings in the industry, the emotional depth behind her most meaningful projects, and the responsibility that creatives and brands have in shaping a more ethical future. She also shares her personal experiences with motherhood, mental health, and the power of self-acceptance.

Hello Kamile! We’re so glad to have you here with us today. Thank you for taking the time to share your story.

Let’s start from the beginning—modeling is a competitive and fast-paced industry. What inspired you to pursue a career in fashion, and how did your journey begin?

For me, fashion was never just about the clothes, it was about transformation. I grew up in a small town and an environment where I often felt the need to shrink myself to fit in. Modeling gave me a place to expand instead. I was hesitant, full of self-doubt, but the moment I stepped in front of the camera, something shifted. It was like I finally saw myself, not as others had defined me, but as I truly was. Fashion became my freedom. It was where I could explore different versions of myself, confront my insecurities, and begin the work of self-love. It’s still an evolution, but I owe a lot of my healing to that unexpected first step into the industry.

You’ve worked on high-profile campaigns—what has been your most memorable project so far?

The ones that stick with me most are the ones where I felt emotionally connected. I did a shoot not long ago where the concept was all about rebirth, stripping down, starting over, being vulnerable on camera. It wasn’t glamorous in the traditional sense, but it was powerful. I cried after that day: not out of sadness, but release. It reminded me that fashion can be art, therapy, and rebellion all at once. That’s when I know I’m doing work that matters.

Sustainability in fashion is a growing conversation. What role do you think models and brands should play in promoting ethical practices?

We’re in a time where silence is complicity. Models, creatives, and brands all have a responsibility to not just be beautiful, but intentional. I think the conversation around sustainability isn’t just about fabric or production, it’s about people, equity, and longevity. I’m drawn to brands that are brave enough to shift culture, not just chase trends. If we’re going to continue dressing the world, we need to make sure we’re not undressing the planet or people in the process.

Your work with organizations like Zurich Children’s Hospital and the Princess Grace Foundation is truly inspiring. Can you tell us more about your involvement?

I’m deeply moved by causes that support children, healing, and opportunity. It is close to my heart because it’s about restoring dignity to families who’ve had to fight too hard for basic care. With the Princess Grace Foundation, I’m inspired by their legacy of nurturing the arts and helping talent rise, especially when the world doesn’t always give them a platform. My involvement is often behind the scenes, but it’s incredibly personal. I think when you’ve known what it’s like to feel unseen or unheard, you naturally want to be a bridge for others.

As a young mother, balancing career and family can be challenging. How do you manage to juggle both while maintaining your personal well-being?

It’s all about balance and presence. I try to be fully present in whatever role I’m in, whether that’s model, philanthropist, creative, or parent. Motherhood has made me softer in all the right ways. It’s taught me patience, grace, and the beauty of imperfection. I’ve learned to let go of the pressure and Immerse myself fully wether that’s with my son, on set, or simply with myself. There’s strength in slowing down, in saying no, in choosing rest. My son is my mirror and my compass. When I’m centered, he feels it. When I’m not, he reminds me to return to myself.

Mental health advocacy is an important part of your journey. What personal experiences led you to speak openly about it?

There was a time in my life when I felt completely disconnected from who I was. I had the titles, the accolades, the image, but inside, I was lost. I experienced depression masked by ambition. Sleep paralysis, anxiety, a relentless fear of being “too much” and “not enough” at the same time. It wasn’t until I gave myself permission to fall apart that I started to rebuild. Therapy became a safe place to ask the hard questions and find my truth. Speaking openly about mental health is a way for me to break the illusion that success equals peace. The more honest I am, the more space I create for others to breathe. That’s powerful.

Looking ahead, what are your biggest goals for the future—both in fashion and philanthropy?

In fashion, I want to continue pushing the boundaries of identity, especially around masculinity, vulnerability, and storytelling. I’m interested in exploring more creative direction and campaigns that fuse fashion with emotion and meaning. In philanthropy, my goal is to continue supporting foundations focused on mental health and mentorship for young creatives who feel like they don’t belong in traditional spaces. Ultimately, I want to leave behind something that made people feel seen, safe, and inspired to tell their own stories. I’m also in the process of launching a guided journal, a space for self-reflection, healing, and honesty. It’s inspired by the questions I’ve asked myself during my own journey: Who am I without the noise? What does peace look like in my body? It’s not just a journal. it’s a quiet revolution. I hope it offers others what I wish I’d had during my darkest seasons: a gentle place to land, and a reminder that growth doesn’t always have to be loud to be powerful.

Finally, Kamile, if you could share one piece of advice with young women striving to make an impact, what would it be?

You don’t need to become someone else to be worthy. Your softness is not weakness. Your voice doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. Keep showing up as yourself, unapologetically, imperfectly, beautifully. The world needs your truth, not your perfection.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us! It was a pleasure speaking with you.
