4. Could you tell us about your journey as an entrepreneur, from founding Vizcaya Swimwear to launching your cosmetics business, the Ladycode Shop?
It all started when I founded Vizcaya Swimwear when i was 20, i made my own swimsuit when I competed at Miss United States. I placed in the top 5 and the national director noticed my swimsuit and offered me a 3 year contract as the official swimwear sponsor of Miss United States. Fast forward to today, and I’ve expanded my empire with The Ladycode Shop, offering a full range of cosmetics that celebrate beauty in all its forms. From humble beginnings to glamorous collaborations with celebs like the Glam Belle and Miss Earth USA Danielle Mullins, it’s been a wild ride filled with highs, lows, and everything in between.
5. What inspired you to start helping female consulting clients build their businesses, and what have been some rewarding experiences from this endeavor?
The decision to start helping female consulting clients build their businesses was a no-brainer for me. I’ve always believed in the power of women supporting women, and there’s nothing more fulfilling than watching my clients turn their dreams into reality. Whether it’s providing guidance, sharing insights, connecting them with the right people, or simply being a cheerleader in their corner, seeing them succeed and thrive is the ultimate reward.
6. Could you discuss your experience working as a celebrity makeup artist, particularly in relation to doing makeup for Miss USA?
It’s been an absolute dream come true to work with Miss USA. I’ve been spending a lot of time with Noelia Voigt now that she lives very close to me in Miami and I am so grateful I get to work with her through the Supermodels Unlimited team. From glamming up contestants backstage to hosting makeup masterclasses with the reigning queen herself, every moment has been a whirlwind of glitter, glam, and girl power. Being able to help women feel confident and beautiful in their own skin is very fulfilling for me and I love to see not only the glam transformation on the outside, but also the boost in confidence that my clients feel once they are out of my chair. I have invested so much in my education by learning from the best: I’m double certified by Makeup by Mario and double certified by Chris Appleton, and I have taken classes with Jen Atkin and Boom Kack MUA. Working alongside these top makeup artists has given me the experience and connections to create celebrity looks for my clients and I love seeing my clients on the stage, red carpets, and publications worldwide.
